tasteU.S. is an initiative designed to increase the awareness of cooperative promotions with a strong focus on commodities. We work with over 40 U.S. cooperators and other food and agricultural organizations to bring quality and nutritious food, beverage and pre-packaged goods to Canadians. More importantly, the U.S. ag partners are committed to educating the trade and consumers alike on the unique qualities and benefits of fresh food products from the U.S.
A cooperator is an organization representing growers and producers of a particular agricultural commodity. The U.S. cooperators that tasteUS! works with create awareness and educate consumers and the trade about the special features of their respective commodities. They help to ensure that all the foods coming from their producers adhere to the highest of standards in terms of health and safety.

Certain products are produced more easily in certain seasons; however, our cooperators represent many farmers, some of whom operate in warm climates that can produce food and beverage products all-year-round.
Our products come from hardworking producers, including multi-generational family-owned businesses. All of our producers are proud of their livelihood and very stringent when it comes to providing the highest product standards.
Due to geographical proximity and advancements in transportation, much of the fresh produce is shipped in refrigerated trucks, or air freighted ensuring that U.S. products arrive in the Canadian marketplace fresh and nutritious.
The products produced by cooperators adhere to the strict health and quality standards and are safe to eat. Ensuring that their products are safe is a top priority for our producers.
