The U.S. Grains Council develops export markets for U.S. corn, sorghum, barley and their products. These commodities are used mainly in feed rations for livestock and poultry. While the United States exports significant amounts of corn to Canada, U.S. Grain Council programs have focused on introducing distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) for the past five years. DDGS is very popular for swine and cattle feeding, and nutritional studies have established recommended inclusion rates to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.
